Mind of an attacker

Two topics of great importance for those who train at the Quest Centers for self-protection:

  1. It is so easy to be oblivious to the elaborate set-up procedures that creeps will set in motion before the actual attack, whether it is a tavern huff 'n bluff, or a closet sicko tracking an innocent via the web. I want more of this kind of awareness training in our Quest Centers (without scaring folks off, of course).
  2. Computer and net technology brings great advances in productivity (I can't imagine going back to writing books on typewriter like I did my first three!), but at the same time opens up horrific new possibilities of vulnerability. Always new lessons for the ninja...

Exposure to "The mind of the aggressor", or how a creep's logic works, and how to deal with it is something that I found to be woefully lacking or totally absent from every martial arts school I have ever attended. That is one of many reasons that I felt compelled to found the Quest Centers as an advancement beyond the "mere kick and punch and kamae/stance" schools.
