I don't know if this has subtitles or not--but there is a children's tape
called Nintama Rantarou about three kids in ninja school--it's pretty funny
and at the end, they usuall have something about Ninja history--history as,
I imagine it's generally understood by Japanese people, not necessarily
connected with buj history. There are my type of puns in there--for
instance, they're going to have budou taikai and one kid picks up grapes
and says BUDOU (grapes) another picks up a fish (tai) and a third a clam(Kai)

I don't know where you'd get it--we just watch it on the tube when it comes
on in this area on the NHK channel (we're in NYC but with its large
Japanese population, there are several Japanese channels)
