Historical The Quest List Post 4

From: Christopher S. Penn
Subject: [The Quest List] What''s new in the new The Quest List
Date: 1999-07-12 09:05:00

Well, it's been about a week since The Quest List disappeared off the cyberspace
maps, and it has since returned. Here's what's new...

[1] New provider. The Quest List is now hosted by eGroups.com. We have made an
initial payment of $60 for the non-advertisement version of their software,
so we can have a completely dedicated workspace.

[2] New features. We've now got the ability to do polling, archiving,
calendars, and a few other features which should vastly improve usage.
Members still receive notices via e-mail, but they can now read an entire
thread on the Web.

Subscriptions are going to be processed in the same fashion as always -
moderated through myself and Erik Carlsson.

In the future, probably within the next six months, we will move The Quest List
again, this time to a dedicated line and server here in Boston. As always,
subscriptions will be migrated automatically.
