Well, the world collectively made it into Y2K without much of a problem
at all... just glitches, lots of glitches, no catastrophes. A
tremendous sigh of relief from everyone, now we have to figure out how
to return the concrete bunkers to Home Depot! (just kidding)

Happy New Year, Happy New Millennium to all! It was quite funny,
watching NBC and the other news stations trying to review an entire
millennium and not having enough material for the first 600 years or
so. If only they knew about the legacy of the Bujinkan Dojo and the
systems composing the Bujinkan, Jinenkan, and To-Shin Do. We actually
have material to review since the Y1K problem!

One advisory for all, particularly here in New England. It seems that
small vendors who haven't updated their point of sale credit card
machines will charge you for an item, but because of a software glitch,
the charge will repost again, sometimes numerous times. I had a charge
for a bottle of champagne appear four times on my credit card, but
BankBoston was aware of the difficulty. So be sure to check your
January statements with extra care, and if you're a credit-enabled
vendor, make sure those machines are up to date!

It's been quiet on The Quest List, but maybe that's for the best. It means
that people are probably too busy training!

Happy New Year!
