Let's look at what Webster calls "Stress"......a force that tends to strain
or deform, Mental, emotional or physical tension, strain or
pressure....Hmmmm, I think we need to better understand what this really
means. From our own opinion's, stress seems very vague and at the same time
very real....As far as "Mushin" goes I do many activities in this state and
I am sure if people think about they will see numerous times when they too
achieve "Mushin" during certain times of the day. "Mushin" appears to be the
answer to stress. Why is it then?.........Hmmmmm.....I believe the
originator of the e-mail that asked the question about stress needs to look
at what Webster says about it. The mental and emotional stress is the
problem, as this can lead to physical ailments and a general lack of
enthusiasm towards life. But without getting "too deep" what types of
suggestions can we all make?....It has been my experience that any type of
activity that involves a large amount of mental concentration is a great
stress reliever. Why, because we must be able to focus on the moment and
therefore not able to dwell on our problems which cause
stress...Examples...Weight lifting/training..........downhill
skiing.........motorcycle riding, especially dangerous on the edge
stuff.......reading........ToShin Do
training.......Meditation..........Let's hear from all of you and your
suggestions.............Shikin Haramitsu Daikomyo........ninjay..( jay f. )
